    Repeat order for Strategic Marine

    Strategic Marine is to build again for Syarikat Borcos Shipping.

    Strategic Marine has announced that it has signed a contract for two newbuild 40m Offshore Utility Vessels, Hull Numbers 150 and 151.

    The vessels are to be delivered to the company's long term client Syarikat Borcos Shipping of Malaysia, in 2007.

    The 40m vessels are to be constructed at Strategic Marine’s Singapore shipbuilding facility. Hull 150 is to be delivered in March 2007, Hull 151 to be handed over in June 2007.

    In addition to the recently signed vessels, advanced negotiations are currently progressing for a further three 40m offshore utility vessels.

    Each vessel will be equipped with 4,500bhp (1 x Cummins KTA 50 and 2 x Cummins KTA 38 Engines), enabling the vessels to reach speeds in excess of 28 knots. With seating for up to 80 rig crew and accommodation for 10 vessel crew, these vessels will provide a high level of comfort.
