Siem Offshore signs contract with Kleven for sophisticated newbuildVessel & ROV News // August 25, 2006
Siem Offshore's latst newbuild is a MT6017 design.
Kleven Verft has been awarded a contract by Siem Offshore for construction of a sophisticated multifunction PSV.
The vessel will be of the MT 6017 design, a new design developed in close co-operation between owner, yard, and naval architects Marin Teknikk.
The contract is worth NKr 295 million.
The vessel is 93.7m long, with a beam of 19.70m and a working deck of 1,047m2. The accomodation is for 68 persons, and the
contract includes options for offshore crane and helideck.
The vessel will be delivered in November 2008.
The contract is Siem's third with Kleven Verft in a short period of time, and in addition Siem has taken over one vessel under construction at the yard.
Kleven Verft now has 13 vessels on order, at a contract value of NKr 4.0 billion. Kleven Maritime as a group has a total of 22
vessels on order, worth some NKr 5.6 billion.
