Bigger, better ASWB plannedNews // August 17, 2006
The fifth Asian Shipping and Work Boat (ASWB) event is shaping up to be at least 30 per cent per cent bigger than at the previous showing.
“Some 90 per cent of last year’s exhibitors have already booked for 2007,” said organiser Kishore Navani. “We are already bigger than in 2005 and we still have more than five months of our selling period left."
"The Singapore centred ASEAN maritime industry is currently booming across practically all sectors,” Mr Navani said. “As ASWB covers all sectors from the smallest patrol and fishing boats to the largest tankers and passenger vessels, and all those who service or supply them, we are benefiting substantially from that boom.”
In addition to a substantial exhibition, ASWB incorporates a series of highly focussed maritime forums and product presentation seminars.
The half day Forums look at World Shipbuilding Developments; Patrol, Assault and Rescue Craft; High Speed Ferries; and, the Offshore Service Vessel Sector.
