DMT Emerald due for delivery in NovemberVessel & ROV News // June 30, 2006
DMT Emerald is due to enter service in November this year.
Emerald will have a 100 tonne crane and 100 tonne tower.
Deep Marine Technology (DMT) in the US has provided Offshore Shipping Online with what are believed to be the first published photographs of its newbuild construction vessel DMT Emerald, which is due to be delivered in mid-November.
The 292ft vessel has a 100 tonne Hydramarine knuckleboom crane, 100 tonne heave compensated multi-purpose tower from Huisman Itrec in the Netherlands, moonpool, two Heavy Work Class ROVs, DP2, accommodation for 76, and is US flagged.
The new vessel will be capable of a range of tasks including: suction pile installation; subsea tree installation; laying umbilicals; well intervention; and manifold installation.
DMT says the compensation sensors will be installed in March 2007, however, the tower and winch will be working mid-November 2006.
