James Fisher/Maersk sell remaining cable ships

    Vessel & ROV News // June 20, 2006

Broker Seascope Offshore reports that James Fisher in the UK has recently sold its last remaining cable vessel – Oceanic
    Princess
    – to Indian interests.

Similarly Maersk are unlikely to have any vessels working in the cable related sector by the end of the year as Maersk Defender is scheduled to complete a long term charter with Alcatel. The vessel has been acquired by Secunda Marine who plan to convert the unit (to be named Voyager Sea) for a long term well stimulation contract with Pemex.

Pemex have two other vessels on long term charter for well stimulation duties – namely Toisa Pisces and Bourbon Opale.
