New vessel joins Technip fleetVessel & ROV News // May 15, 2006
Technip has signed a frame contract with Geo ASA for the provision of survey/utility vessel services, which will mainly be provided by the newbuild vessel Geoholm. The contract will take effect in June 2006 and will last for three years.
The 85m vessel is especially designed for survey and light construction operations in harsh environments such as deep waters and the North Sea. She is equipped with a 90 tonne crane, state-of-the-art survey equipment and two new 3,000m rated ROVs.
Geoholm will reinforce Technip's capabilities for diverless operations around the world. The vessel will start operations on the Alvheim project in Norway in June of this year.
