Nautronix's NMS6000 has been selected by GulfMark Offshore.

Nautronix has been contracted to provide its advanced NMS6000 Integrated Vessel Control system for six of Gulfmark Offshore’s newbuild vessels.

Having installed NMS6000 Integrated Systems onboard GulfMark’s anchor handlers Coloso and Titan, the company has returned to Nautronix for the latest, more advanced package - NMS6000 Integrated Class 2 Dynamic Positioning and Alarm and Monitoring.

The NMS6000 Integrated System combines dynamic positioning with a complete vessel monitoring package.

Based on the success of Coloso and Titan, Gulfmark opted to upgrade from a joystick system to a full Class 2 dynamic positioning system combined with alarm and monitoring to meet ABS DPS-2 and ACCU certifications.

The system will offer multiple operating stations located throughout the vessel including the bridge, engine control room and Chief Engineer’s quarters with the latest touchscreen interface for simple and intuitive operation.

Nautronix’ sixth generation system uses Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware to provide a reliable and supportable platform.

The latest NMS6000 software offers advanced filtering for improved performance including reductions in fuel consumption and machinery wear as well as advanced diagnostics for efficient troubleshooting.

By combining vessel controls with alarm and monitoring, vital information is more accessible for the entire vessel resulting, said Nautronix.
