Rem Maritime orders two new vessels from Kleven Maritime

    Vessel & ROV News // April 21, 2006

Rem Maritime has ordered two MT6022 multi-purpose subsea vessels.

Kleven Verft in Ulsteinvik, Norway has secured contract from Rem Maritime of Fosnavåg, Norway for two new, sophisticated offshore vessels.

The vessels are both multi-purpose subsea support vessels of the MT 6022 design,
a new design developed in close cooperation between owner and yard, and designed by Marin Teknikk.

The vessels are 107.6m long with a beam of 22m, accommodation for 120 crew, and working deck of 1,120m2.

The vessels are to be delivered in February and May 2008.

"The MT6022 is a new and flexible design, and can be modified to suit future market demand. Compared to the vessels we have on order, we are stepping up the size of the vessels. The increased size allows for larger crane capacity and increased crewing, as well as increased loading capacity” said Remoy's owner, Åge Remøy.
