    ADSB lays keel of crewboat

    Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) in Abu Dhabi has laid the keel of a new 40m crewboat for ESNAAD. The vessel was ordered in October 2005.

    The fabrication of the hull is being performed by ADSBís subcontractor Seaspray Marine at Al Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah.

    The hull, deck and superstructure will then be taken to the ADSB shipyard in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi for final fit-out, launching, trials and delivery.

    This fully classed, triple screw, 20 knot crewboat will join the well establish ESNAAD fleet serving the offshore oil industry in the UAE.

    The newbuild bears the class notation ABS A1 HSC Crew Boat AMS and is being built out of marine grade auminum alloy. With a length of 40.00m, beam of 8.25m and draft of 3.20m, the new vessel will have a speed of 20 knots.
