Remoy Management orders gas-fuelled coast guard vessel based on VS design

Remoy Management's VS 794 CGV will be gas-fuelled.
Myklebust Verft in Norway has been awarded a contract by offshore operator Remøy Management for the delivery of a coastguard vessel, plus a single optional vessel.
The vessel is a VS 794 CGV design, developed in close cooperation between the owner and yard, and designed by Vik-Sandvik of Fitjar, Norway, and will be the first coastguard vessel with gas-fuelled propulsion system.
The vessel is designed for towing- and rescue operations, oil recovery and fire-fighting.
It will have a length of 93m, breadth of 16.6m and bollard pull of 100 tonnes.
Myklebust Verft has now seven vessels under construction and an order backlog that amounts to NKr 1.2 billion. Parent company Kleven Maritime has an order book of 19 vessels and 11 specialized tankers, with a total contractual value of NKr 5.4 billion.
