    Fincantieri confirms AHTS order

    As previously hinted at in Offshore Shipping Online, Fincantieri shipyard in Italy has now been formally awarded a contract by Rimorchiatori Riuniti (Finarge) for the construction of two anchor handlers.

    The first of the two ships will be built at Fincantieri's Riva Trigoso yard in Genoa and the second at its Muggiano facility at La Spezia, with delivery due at the the end of December 2007.

    The design will have a bollard pull of 180 tons and is understood to be similar to the Moss 424 type that the Italian owner already operates.
