Sealion takes delivery of new ROV/PSV vesselsVessel & ROV News // February 22, 2006
Sealion Shipping Ltd in the UK has announced that Toisa Ltd has taken delivery of two of its three newbuilding DP2 ROV/PSVs, Toisa Valiant and Toisa Vigilant. The vessels were delivered in Shanghai, China at the end of December.
Both vessels then sailed to Singapore where, upon arrival, Toisa Valiant had her main 20 tonne subsea crane installed, after which she became available for charter.
Toisa Vigilant became available for charter from the end of December 2005.
These large dual purpose DP2 ROV/PSVs are intended for worldwide operations and offer extensive accommodation, survey and operations rooms, Helideck, DP2, deck cranage and a comprehensive range of under-deck cargoes.
The third vessel in this series, Toisa Voyager, is expected to be delivered later in the first quarter of 2006.
