Edda Fjord acting as flotel for Thunder Horse

Østensjø Rederi in Norway has announced that Edda Fjord is currently contracted to provide offshore accommodation for a maximum of 450 personnel for BP America Production Company in connection with BP's Thunder Horse Project.
The Thunder Horse Production Drilling and Quarters (PDQ) structure is a semi-submersible located 150 miles south east of the mouth of the Mississippi river, in a water depth of approximately 6,040ft.
Thunder Horse will be developed as a combination of subsea drill centres that tieback to a floating production platform located in Mississippi Canyon Block 778.
Edda Fjord has a firm contract until the end of March 2006 with two additional three month options.
