Kleven Verft in Ulsteinvik, Norway has signed a contract with Siem Offshore for construction of a sophisticated multifunction ROV Support Vessel (MRSV).
The MT6016L design, which was developed in close cooperation by the owner and yard and naval architects Marin Teknikk, is 103.7m long with at beam of 19.70m and deck area of in excess of 1,100 m2.
The vessel will focus on the subsea market worldwide, with a primary focus on light construction work, maintenance and ROV services, and is capable of accommodating up to 100 people.
The vessel will be equipped with a high capacity crane and launch and recovery systems for ROVs and is due to be delivered in June 2007.
