    Cal Dive sells crane barge

    Vessel & ROV News // February 1, 2006

Cal Dive in Houston, Texas has sold the 150ft x 74ft x 10ft crane barge Cal Dive Barge 1 (ex-Sea Salvor) to Red Dog Barge Lines of Green Cove Springs, Florida.

The US flag, ABS Class, USCG COI certified barge was built by Vanguard Services in 1979 and rebuilt in 1985. She has a 200 ton A-frame crane mounted on her aft along with a 15 Ton hydraulic crane.

In addition to two spuds she has a four-point mooring system, powered with two American double drum waterfall winches, hoisting four anchors. Auxiliary power is supplied by two GM 75 KW generators which support accommodations for 26 people with a galley for 16.

The new owner is immediately moving the barge into dry-dock to renew her Class and USCG status so that she can be promptly put back into service.

Marcon acted as sole broker in the transaction.
