Viking Offshore appoints new Operations Director

Graeme Wood is Viking Offshore Services' new Operations Director.
North Sea emergency response and rescue services provider Viking Offshore Services has appointed a new Operations Director.
Graeme Wood joins Viking Offshore Services from Technip Offshore UK, and succeeds Peter Hingston, who retired in December 2005.
The move follows the appointment last month of Allan Pirie to the newly-created role of Commercial Director with the company.
Viking Offshore Services Chief Executive Graham Philip said: “Graeme joins us with an excellent operational track record and I am confident he will build on the good work undertaken by Peter in recent years. Coupled with the appointment of a Commercial Director, it means we start the new year with a new-look leadership team in place, extremely well-equipped to develop the company and capitalise on the opportunities that will emerge in the sector during 2006 and beyond.”
Wood (42) started his career as a marine engineer and has held a series of project engineering and management roles. Most recently he worked as business unit manager with PSL before joining Technip in 2003, working as operations manager for the UK Regional Business Unit.
Originally from Lossiemouth, Graeme now lives in Portlethen and is married with three children.
