Ezra secures charters worth at least US$57.64 million

    News // November 16, 2005

The Board of Directors of Ezra Holdings Limited has announced that it has secured charter contracts worth at least US$57.642 million for seven vessels it owns or operates.

Ezra's heavy lift accommodation crane barge Lewek Conqueror and an Anchor Handling Tug have secured a three-year extension of the charter by SKSWood Sdn Bhd worth potentially up to US$46.992 million. The charter is due to commence shortly after the middle of this month and will continue until the end of December 2008.

Meanwhile, five other vessels (three AHTS, an anchor handling tug and a fast crew/utility vessel) have secured time charter contracts ranging from three months to three years and worth at least approximately US$10.65 million.

Counted among the charterers under these contracts are established names like Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd, Brunei and PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited, Thailand.

The charter contracts will serve to maximize the utilisation levels of Ezra's fleet, and are expected to contribute positively to the Ezra Group's revenue, earnings, earnings per share and net tangible assets for the current financial year ending August 31st 2006 and subsequent three financial years.
