    Malaysian yard delivers crewboat

    The 38m aluminum alloy crew boat Ajang Duha was delivered to her owner Ajang Shipping this summer.

    The builder, with a yard at Selangor Malyasia, was NGV Tech SDN BHD.

    Designed by Shiptech Pte Ltd of Singapore the vessel has an 8.2m beam and a moulded depth of 3.65m.

    Her main engines are three, 50-liter 16-cylinder Cummins KTA50 M2 diesels are coupled to Twin Disc MG 6848SC with 2.93:1 ratios. The 1,800hp engines turn three 1,360mm five-bladed propellers for a total of 5,400hp.

    The boat is also fitted with a HRP 1001TT bow thruster, a Hypac anchor winch and a pair of Cummins 6BT 5.9D 80kW generators sets.

    Accommodation is provided for a 10 crew with seating for 50 passengers. Tankage includes 75 cubic metres for fuel, 35 cubic metres for water and 200 litres of lube oil.

    The aft deck provides 85 square metres of clear deck space for cargo.

    Ajang Duha was designed to provide 31 knots and is classed + A1 HSC Crew Boat + AMS.
