Esvagt-Maersk newbuilds in Singapore building at ASL Shipyard Pte Ltd

    Vessel & ROV News // October 6, 2005

Further to the recent news item on Offshore Shipping Online about the two new safety standby (ERRV) newbuilds for the Esvagt-Maersk JV, ASL Shipyard Pte Ltd in Singapore has asked us to point out that it is in fact ASL Shipyard that is building the vessels, and not Keppel Singmarine as originally reported.

ASL Marine Holdings owns two yards, in Singapore and Batam, providing a wide range of shipbuilding, ship repairs and related marine engineering services.

In a recent presentation of its latest financial results, ASL Marine Holdings said the yards in the group are currently building the Esvagt-Maersk ERRVs, chemical tankers, Azimuth Stern Drive tugs and a number of other vessels, and has a strong order book that will keep the yards busy until 2007.
