Odim acquires HydrakraftNews // October 3, 2005
Odim and Hydrakraft have both developed safe anchor handling gear.
Odim in Hjorungavaag in Norway has entered into an agreement to buy Hydrakraft AS in Ulsteinvik.
The company said the aim of the acquisition was to strengthen Odim's position in the market for handling equipment for offshore support and seismic vessels.
"Hydrakraft As will complement Odim's capacity and competence and fortify Odim's position in the market segment," said Odim in a recent statement.
The acquisition was due to be completed at the beginning of October. Hydrakraft's largest shareholder until now was Kleven Maritime, and the company has approximately 50.
