    News // September 8, 2005

Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC) has been awarded contracts by Mexico's state oil company Pemex for the installation of five platforms and various jackets.

The project is located in the Marina Noreste region in the Bay of Campeche and includes the installation of drilling platforms SIHIL-A, AKAL-Q, and AKAL-W; the  production platform (PB-KU-M); a living quarters platform (HA-KU-M); and 3 production jackets (PB-KU-S, PB-KU-A2, and PB-KU-H).

The installation of the platforms will take place during the first three quarters of 2006 and will be undertaken by Heerema's Hermod.

Heerema's team will mobilise to Villa Hermosa shortly to prepare the Mexican office.

The project will be the first direct contract between Pemex and Heerema.
