The International Association of Independent Tanker Owners (INTERTANKO) has published a document entitled 'Risk Minimisation Guidelines for Shuttle Tanker Operations Worldwide'.
It is designed for use by all those involved in this specialist and growing sector of the tanker industry, including oil companies and regulators.
The Guidelines provide shuttle tanker operators with a reference framework that will assist in the development of appropriate risk reduction and control measures for offshore cargo transfer and associated operations.
