    More acquisitions for Tidewater

    News // October 20, 2000
US Offshore operator Tidewater is to acquire eight more ships, and has reached an agreement to buy the vessels from Sanko Steamship Company.

Tidewater will buy a quartet of anchor-handling tug-supply (AHTS) ships and four Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs) from Sanko.

All of the ships are relatively modern designs, having been completed by a number of Norwegian yards in the last two years.

The company recently announced that it would also be acquiring five similar ships from other sources, and that it plans to acquire more than a dozen newbuildings.
