    Far Minara sold

    P/R International Offshore Services ANS (IOS) - a 50-50 partnership between Farstad Shipping ASA and P&0 Australia - has reached an agreement to sell the anchor-handling tug/supply vessel Far Minara to China Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC).

    Far Minara is a 12,240hp AHTS built in Singapore in 1983.

    During the summer, the vessel was operated on short-term contracts in the North Sea and is now working in the Heidrun field for Statoil.

    The price for the ship is believed to be approximately $10.5 million.P/R International Offshore Services has also announced that it has reached an agreement with Petrobras for the extension of the charter contract for Far Sea for a period of two and a half years from December 2000 until June 2003.

    The Far Sea is 13,200hp AHTS built in 1991, has been working for Petrobras in Brazil for the past three years.
