    CSO wins contracts in Norway

    Coflexip Stena Offshore (CSO) has announced that Coflexip Stena Offshore Norge AS has been awarded two EPCI contracts in Norway, one by A/S Norske Shell, and the other by ESSO Exploration & Production Norway AS, that together amount to over EUR 60 million. They entered the Group's orderbook in August 2000.

    The company was awarded the Garn West pipeline and installation EPCI contract by A/S Norske Shell. The base case scope of work for the Garn West Development, which is located in 270m of water, comprises the supply, installation and tie-in of flexible pipe from Garn West manifold tied back to Draugen Platform and flexible jumpers connecting two subsea wells to the Garn West manifold. The scope also includes for deployment and positioning of the Garn West manifold and protection structures with installation of an umbilical and two umbilical jumpers as well as final tie-in and protection of all flexibles and umbilicals.

    CSO Norge will design the flexible pipe, which will be manufactured at CSO's flexible manufacturing plant in Le Trait, France. The offshore installation of the system will be undertaken, starting summer 2001 for Garn West, using the CSO Constructor DP vessel after her upgrade. The contract also includes an option for the Rogn South Development with tie back to Garn West (EPCI work).

    The Ringhorne Subsea and Platform Tieback EPCI contract was awarded by Esso Exploration & Production Norway AS. The base case scope of work for the Ringhorne tie-back system, which is located in 130m of water, comprises supply, fabrication and installation of flowlines and risers from the Ringhorne platform and subsea wells to the Balder FPU.

    CSO Norge will design, procure, fabricate and manufacture the pipelines and perform the offshore installation and tie-in of the flowlines and risers. The flexible risers will be manufactured at CSO's flexible manufacturing plant in Le Trait, France. Theoffshore installation of the system will be undertaken summer 2001 for the flexible risers using the installation vessel CSO Constructor DP vessel after her upgrade and summer/fall 2001 for the rigid flowlines using the reelship CSO Apache. The platformtie-back, tie-in and completion will take place during the second half of 2002.
