    Norsk Hydro awards Visund contract

Contracts, Tenders and Rates // June 30, 2000
Norsk Hydro has awarded DSND Subsea AS a contract to lay a pipeline and service umbilical on the Visund field.

The contract has an overall value of approximately NOK 115 million.

The project comprises engineering, procurement, construction and installation of an 8.5 km pipeline and service umbilical between the production platform on the Visund field and the Visund Nord manifold.

Engineering work will start immediately, while the project's offshore phase is planned for implementation in the summer of 2001.

DSND Subsea will use the Skandi Navica as a pipelaying vessel.

Visund Nord comprises a subsea production facility that will initially consist of two wells tied back to Visund FPU via an 8-inch flowline and riser. The facility can be expanded to accommodate an additional three wells.
