Hornbeck to expand its fleet

Hornbeck Offshore Services in Galveston, Texas has announced plans to expand its fleet of Offshore Supply Vessels (OSVs) with a significant newbuilding programme.

The company has already placed a contract with Leevac shipyards in Louisiana for the construction of two ultra deepwater vessels, and four more new vessels are planned.

The first of the new OSVs is due to enter service in early 2001.
