Indian yard completes work on MODU

    Yard News // June 29, 2001
Cochin shipyard in India reports that it has completed work on the mobile offshore drilling unit (MODU) Sagar Bhushan, which is owned by ONGC.

The award of the contract for the Sagar Bhushan follows work carried out last year on another drilling rig owned by ONGC, the Sagar Vijar (see previous issues of Offshore Shipping Online).

The work on the Sagar Bhushan included a substantial amount of new steel, and a wide-ranging upgrade of the rig's equipment and accommodation.
