    Simek delivers UT745

    Vessel & ROV News // June 29, 2001
Simek Shipyard in Norway has delivered the largest vessel it has built to date, a lengthened Ulstein UT745 design for Farstad Shipping.

The newbuild has since entered a two-year charter with ASCo Group in the UK. A sistership is due to be delivered by the yard in October.

Much of the hull and superstructure for the new UT745 was built in Poland, and vessel being completed an outfitted in Norway. The basic UT745 designed was lengthened by the addition of a 4.55m section amidships, plus a 0.85m section at the stem, where the foredeck has been raised one deck higher.
