Contractors vie for White Rose contracts

    News // June 1, 2001
Quest Offshore reports that that Maersk is well placed to supply a hull for Husky Oil and Petro-Canada's White Rose subsea and FPSO development offshore eastern Canada in the Grand Banks.

CSO-Aker and SBM, meanwhile, are in contention for the coveted topsides contract.

Quest Offshore says Maersk/Seabase has been performing a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contract for the White Rose FPSO awarded in October 2000. Formal project sanctioning is anticipated in the third quarter of 2001. The $1.1 billion project is expected to come on stream in 2004.
