    North Sea market remains tight

Contracts, Tenders and Rates // April 20, 2001
Offshore Shipbrokers in Aberdeen say the North Sea market for anchor handlers remains quite tight, with vessels continuing to fix at 30,000 plus, and Balder Viking and Vidar Viking to Venture at 33,000. Rates of up to 40,000 are possible, says the broker.

Offshore Shipbrokers says KMAR404's Torm Eagle and Osprey are currently undergoing sale docking in Aberdeen and will be renamed Amazon Tide and McNee Tide.

McNee Tide is fixed to Kerr McGee as a front runner for newbuild PSV Bennett Tide and will then deliver to Team for a six-month charter. Amazon Tide is likely to leave the North Sea to commence an international term charter.
