    Ugland acquires shuttles

    News // March 9, 2001
Ugland Nordic Shipping has reached an agreement with Awilco to acquire four shuttle tankers from Awilco.

Ugland is believed to be paying in the region of $95 million for the vessels.

The four ships are: the 99,000dwt Wilma Yukon; the 80,745dwt Petrotrym; the 67,000dwt Petrotroll; and the 40,000dwt Petroskald.

Once it has assumed control of the vessels, which should happen by the end of April, Ugland will operate a fleet of 18 shuttle tankers (including newbuildings).
