    New contracts for FGH

    Friede Goldman Halter (FGH) in the US was won contracts for a number of new construction projects with a combined value of more than $65 million.

    The first is from Vessel Management Services in Seattle, Washington, which has exercised the first of five options on its current contract with Halter Marine for an additional 150,000-barrel ocean-going, double-hulled articulated tug-barge (ATB).

    Halter Marine has also signed a contract with Bouchard Coastwise Management of Hicksville, New York, for the construction of a 110,000-barrel, oceangoing, double-hulled ATB.

    Foss Maritime of Seattle, Washington, has exercised the first of two options for the construction of an additional 6,000hp, 98ft Z-drive harbour tug, which will be built at Halter's shipyard in Lockport, Louisiana.

    FGH Engineered Products Group has received several contracts for offshore exploration and production equipment in the Gulf of Mexico.
