    News // January 15, 2001
Maersk Supply Service has ordered two multi-purpose anchor-handling tug supply vessels from Volkswerft Stralsund for delivery in the first half of 2003.

The newbuildings will be sister vessels to the Maersk Assister and Maersk Attender, which were delivered by the same yard last year.

In addition to the newbuilds ordered in Germany, Maersk has also ordered two 17,500hp BHP UT722L anchor handling tug supply vessels from Langsten AS in Norway. These ships are due to be delivered in the first half of 2002.
