    Broker describes secondhand market

    News // October 15, 2004
Offshore Shipbrokers Ltd (OSL) says the secondhand market produced several sales during the month of September, with Bourbon Offshore AS featuring prominently.

The company placed several vessels on the market at realistic prices and whilst class positions may not have been good the Bourbon Castle and Bourbon Trader were quickly snapped up by Far East Buyers. Bourbon Reel will follow this month, said OSL.

Toisa Limited is now only left with only one standby vessel, which is currently in lay-up, having now sold the Toisa Teal.

The AHTS Bourbon Castle (built 1982 - 12,720bhp) has been sold to Far Eastern Buyers for a price of around US$3.6 million. Delivery will take place during October 2004 when we expect the vessel to leave West Africa.

The PSV Bourbon Trader (built 1979 - 4,600bhp) has been sold to far Eastern Buyers on an 'as is' basis for a price of about US$2.5 million. Delivery will take place during October when the vessel will leave the North Sea.

Nomis Shipping Limited has purchased the standby vessel Toisa Teal (built 1981 - 1,700bhp) on private terms. The asking price was in the region of US$500,000.
