    Offshore Shipbrokers Ltd in Aberdeen reports that Maersk has fixed three vessels (Blazer, Beater & Assister ) to Kvaerner for the towage of the Snorre B FPU from Cadiz to Stord, and says it does not expect these vessels to return to the spot market before December.

    The brokers say the market for PSVs for next year appears to get tighter every day - in addition to the various outstanding requirements and fixtures already concluded, the company says it understand that Allseas have fixed four pipe carriers for 120 days plus options commencing in March 2001.

    The brokers say that Tidewater has disclosed that its UT745 Russell Tide will depart the North Sea on or around 18 November for a one well plus option charter with Shell Egypt. It says the large AHTS Arctic Kalvik was en route to Canada to lay-up when she was turned around and is now heading to India for a 150-day charter with Cairn Energy.
