    Havila announces new charters

Contracts, Tenders and Rates // November 20, 2000
Petrobras has extended its charter on Havila Supply's Havila Scotia for a further two-year period until November 2002.

Havila Scotia is ME 202 type platform supply vessel built in 1982. The contract extension is worth an estimated NOK 70 million (in excess of £5 million).

Meanwhile, the company has also entered into a seven-month cable burial contract with CNS, which was due to commence in early November.

The vessel assigned to the project is Havila Reel, a lengthened UT 705 platform supply vessel built in 1976 and fitted with a Dynamic Positioning system. She has been upgraded several times, the latest occasion being spring 2000, when she was converted for cable-laying duties. The contract has an estimated value of NOK 30 million (approximately £2.25 million).
