FMC to provide deepwater solutions for Petrobras

    News // January 18, 2002
FMC Technologies has announced that its FMC Energy Systems business has been engaged to supply three deepwater solutions for Petrobras totalling approximately $17 million.

The first solution entails 18,200 feet of completion riser joints, comprising design, fabrication and factory acceptance testing. The system is scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2002. A five-year service contract, covering operation, storage and maintenance, also is anticipated.

Another solution covers the supply of vertical subsea trees for Petrobras' developments in the Campos Basin. The trees, designed for installation in water depth of 5,000 feet (1,500 meters), are scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of 2002.

A pipeline termination manifold provides the third solution for Petrobras' Roncador field. The manifold is scheduled to be delivered in the third quarter of 2002.
