    Statoil assumes control of Stena Don

    Statoil has formally taken over control of the newbuild semi-sub Stena Don under the terms of a five-year contract.

    Stena Don received approval for operations from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate at the end of 2001, and has departed Sandnes for the Halten Bank.

    Stena Don is due to work in the Norne area and drill her first well on the Staer prospect.
