    Latest newbuild delivered by Soviknes Verft

    Søviknes Verft AS, part of the Aker Brattvaag Group, has delivered UT 745 E a multi-purpose OSV to Island Offshore. The ship has length of 92.4m, and is fitted with advanced Dynamic Positioning system and diesel-electric propulsion machinery based with Azipod podded propulsors. She also has a moonpool, a 100t offshore crane, ROV handling equipment and helipad.The hull was constructed at Aker Tulcea in Romania, and arrived at Søviknes Verft in June to be fitted out.

    The ship has been chartered for two years for use in the Gulf of Mexico on behalf of Pemex. The charterer has the option to buy the ship during the charter period.
