    Prosafe wins contract for Safe Caledonia

    Prosafe Offshore AS, a subsidiary of Prosafe ASA, has won a 176-day contract from Ocean Oil Construction and Services Ltd for the use of the semi-sub service rig Safe Caledonia in the Gulf of Mexico.

    The bareboat contract has a value of $6.4 million.

    The contract ends in early May 2002, and the rig will then mobilise back to the North Sea and commence work on behalf of Statoil on the Sleipner field, beginning 01 July 2002.
