    Østensjø orders specialised IMR newbuild

    Østensjø Rederi AS in Norway has ordered a specialized newbuild for a new five-year contract with three one year options with DeepOcean on behalf of Statoil.

    The main duties of the vessel will be Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (IMR) including tasks such as ROV operations; light construction work; scale squeeze and pumping operations; and RFO operations.

    The vessel is a new design, the ST255, and was designed in cooperation with Skipsteknisk A/S and will be built by a European shipyard. Delivery is scheduled to be second half of 2007.
