Sn°hvit "on hold" Projects and Operations
// October 4, 2001
The partners in the Sn°hvit project in the Barents Sea have decided not to submit a plan for development and operation (PDO) of the field at this time.
The project was re-activated at the beginning of 1997 to mature an overall development of resources in the Sn°hvit, Askeladd and Albatross fields with associated infrastructure.
The partners in the project intended to submit a PDO to Norway's Ministry of Petroleum and Energy by the summer of 2001 has been the aim of the partners.
The extensive project involves development of the three fields, a pipeline to land, receiving facilities and a liquefaction plant to produce liquefied natural gas (LNG).
