    Tidewater makes first PSV order in Brazil

    More details have emerged about Tidewater's order for a PSV at Estaleiro Promar 1 shipyard in Brazil.

    The Brazilian yard, which is controlled by Aker Brattvaag in Norway, will deliver the PSV to Mare Alta Navegacao do Brasil Ltda, which is itself controlled by Tidewater, in December next year.

    The PSV will be based on the Rolls-Royce UT 755L design, and will be 71.90m overall have an advanced dynamic positioning system and will be equipped for oil recovery operations.

    The newbuild will also be built ready for conversion to FiFi 1 status.
