Noble announces initial production from Hanze Block F2a

    Projects and Operations // September 7, 2001
Noble Affiliates has announced the first oil production from the Hanze field in the North Sea, off the coast of the Netherlands.

It is expected that by the end of the year the Hanze production will account for two-thirds of overall oil production in the Dutch North Sea.

Production started at an initial rate of 11,000 barrels of oil per day.

The first Hanze crude was due to be offloaded via the dedicated shuttle tanker Betty Knutsen in mid-August.
