CSO awarded Sable EPCI contract

Coflexip Stena Offshore (CSO) has announced that Coflexip Stena Offshore International (CSOI) has been awarded the subsea part of the integrated EPCI contract for the Sable field development project.The contract was awarded by Bluewater in the UK, and consists of six subsea wells tied back to a Floating Production, Storage & Offloading (FPSO) platform.
The field is located in 100m (330ft) of water in the Bredasdorp basin, 150km South West of Mossel Bay off the coasts of South Africa.
CSO International's scope of work will consist of the design, supply and installation of all subsea facilities of the field, including around 15km of flexible flowlines and production risers, with associated equipment, as well as 9km of umbilicals.
All flexible lines will be manufactured at the Group's Le Trait plant in Normandy, France, and the umbilicals in CSO's facility DUCO in Newcastle, UK and delivered in the third quarter of 2002.
