    Apache discovers gas in Gulf of Mexico

    Apache Corporation has announced a natural gas discovery on its Eugene Island Block 187 in the Gulf of Mexico approximately 45 miles offshore Louisiana.

    The company also reported completing a strong development well from itsSouth Timbalier 295 platform. Both wells are on production.

    The new fault block discovery tested at the rate of 9.6 million cubic feet (MMcf) of gas and 184 barrels of oil per day on a 20/64-inch choke with 4,500 pounds per square inch (psi) of flowing tubing pressure. Apache owns a 100 percent working interest in the producer.
