    Strong result for Aker Brattvaag

    The Aker Brattvaag group had made a profit before tax of NOK 233 million on a turnover of NOK 1, 961 million in 2001.

    The result includes the last six months of the year for Estaleiro Promar I Reparos Navais Ltda in Brazil, which the group acquired in June 2001.

    The Aker Brattvaag Group today comprises: Aker Brattvaag AS, Brattvaag Skipsverft AS, Søviknes Verft AS, Brattvaag Offshore AS, Vestnes Rørservice AS, Brattvaag Brandal Staal AS, Brødr. Rogne AS, Haram Elektro AS, Scandinavian Prefab Hagfors AB, Aker Tulcea S.A. and Estaleiro Promar I Reparos Navais Ltda.

    The Aker Brattvaag Group has 3000 employees in total.

    President Roy Reite said he was "very pleased" with the result, and says that the future looks promising as the group has an order backlog of NOK 3.5 billion with the last delivery in December 2003.
