Finstaship has chartered out multipurpose icebreaker Botnica to TSMarine.

The Norwegian company GDV Maritime AS, in which Finstaship has a 34 per cent holding, will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating the chartering project.

Finstaship has entered into a contract with TSMarine (Contracting) Ltd for a period of at least 560 days during the years 2005 to 2007.

The vessel will be available for ice-breaking during winter in Finnish waters.

TSMarine will use Botnica to provide services to major contractors and oil companies, primarily in the North Sea.

On commencement of the charter towards the end of July the vessel will start a series of campaigns in the British sector of the North Sea.
