Rates in North Sea spot market decline

Contracts, Tenders and Rates // December 20, 2002
Confirming news from other brokers in the North Sea, Seabrokers says that, as expected, activity levels during November declined from that of previous months due to a decrease in rig move activity.

These conditions saw AHTS rates drop by over 50 per cent from the rates that were achieved during October.

"We expect rates and rig move activity to remain low during December as the rig move schedule for the month ahead has little substance. However, be prepared for the odd upward surge occurring in the market due to the inevitable periods of bad weather," said Seabrokers.
